Fish, Friends, Food and a Family News Flash

It is about time for a new post! The past couple of months have kept us busy with visitors, everyday life, and travels "down south."

We had a lovely visit from Christine and Mark and their two little girls over the March break. It was our first time meeting our newest little niece and my, is she a cutie! We had lots of fun with the McLaren family preparing fun and interesting meals, making zwiebach, snowshoeing, going on walks, visiting the early years center, and enjoying a very wet bonfire in the pouring rain. The boys had a great time on an overnight fishing trip to Lake Abitibi with our good friend Dan. They came home with many stories and plenty of fish!

This was Dan's ride home...he even got to take the controls when they got to altitude.

Our little girl still loves her bathtime and would stay in all day if I let her. Perhaps I let her stay in a bit too long this time...

Last weekend Livi and I took a trip to Kingston to surprise Sandra on her 30th! Livi was a great traveller between the 7.5 hr trip to Whitby to meet up with Christine, and 2 more to Kingston with Christine and all of our girls. It was great to see my family and to be back for Sandra's birthday. It was also wonderful to get a taste of spring before the return to our snowy home.
(A rousing game of "What time is it Miss. wolf?" at Sandra's party)

(A beautiful walk in downtown Kingston with the girls)

(Pit stop in a parking lot and Livi's newest "crazy face")

It was a long time coming...perhaps too long. Livia finally had her first haircut. Bye bye mullet! Despite being a squirmy two-yr-old, she seemed to enjoy the experience immensely. To quote our little girl as she sat on her stool with clasped hands "I'm so excited! I getting a hair cut!"

Before we close off, we have one more thing that Livi would like to share with you...
